David Bebbington

Professor David William Bebbington, one of the most influential historians working today, is widely acknowledged as a world authority on religious history. He is also recognised for having devised the 'Bebbington Quadrilateral', which has been used as the standard definition of evangelicalism since he raised it in 1989. The Sydney University Evangelical Union, a group whose identity has been significantly shaped by his definition of evangelicalism, was given the opportunity to hear Professor Bebbington speak about "Priorities for Evangelicals".
