In response to covid-19 the EU has moved many of its ministry activities online (more details can be found here). Please stay updated by liking and following the EU on Facebook and stay connected to our faculty ministries via our faculty facebook group here.
Welcome!
Who We Are
"A faculty that is passionate about sharing the gospel with science students and spurring one another on in faith, witness and service, that the name of the Lord Jesus may be proclaimed and glorified."
If you’re studying a Bachelor of Science in any stream (Advanced, Advanced Mathematics or Regular) or if you're doing a double degree that includes science then Pure Science is the faculty for you! We are a group of like-minded students who are keen to explore the Bible, grow stronger in our relationship with Jesus and learn what it means to be a Christian in our chosen field. Whoever you are we'd love to meet you and to help you know more about Jesus and what it means to be a Christian both at uni and afterwards.
We are always looking for opportunities to share God's love with each other and our fellow students on campus. We have a global focus, praying that the gospel will be proclaimed throughout the Earth.
What We Do
There are so many ways to get involved with Pure Science and the broader STEM community! Join us this year as we meet together to study the Bible, attend Bible Seminars and take part in a variety of events organised by our faculty or the wider EU community.
Bible Study
Small groups of students meet together for one hour each week to explore the Bible and discuss how we can apply it to our lives. The times for small groups in Semester 1, 2021 are as follows:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10 - 12. If you can't make these times, or can only make part of the time, please contact us and let us know!
If you want to join a small group please contact one of the faculty leaders to let us know!
Bible Seminars
Public Bible talks are back on for another year! This year we will be gathering in groups of 40 alongside other STEM students for our Bible Seminars. We like to sit together as a faculty or catch up after the meeting over some lunch. You can find out more information about Bible Seminars in the "Activities" tab of the EU website.
Other Events
The EU is putting on a whole range of exciting events this year, such as Ancon (2nd - 6th August) which is our annual conference where we hear solid teaching from God's word, in community with one another (prayerfully in person!). We will also be hosting many events throughout the year such as evangelistic events, community discipleship events and outward looking mission themed events! You can check out more here on the EU website or join our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/147601359240033/) to find out more about these events and how you can get involved.
