Who We Are
"EU Law is a group of students who love Jesus Christ and declare him as Lord. We want to share this with the Law School, members of the legal profession and beyond."
We are a community of Christian students in the Sydney Law School, within the wider student fellowship of the Sydney University Evangelical Union.
We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and this is good news for all people. His death and resurrection means we have real meaning, hope and justice. We are passionate about sharing this good news, and we invite our fellow law students to discover this hope and the forgiveness freely offered through Christ Jesus.
We aim to encourage the formation of godly character, growing in maturity in Christ through the studying of his word, praying, and sharing life together. In aiming for this, we seek to be counter cultural.
In a law school culture that is often self serving, we seek to foster hearts that love and serve others. In a law school culture that is ambitious, tense and competitive, we seek to be Christians that find our security and identity in Christ Jesus, living our lives and our vocations in pursuit of following him.
What We Do
Faculty Time
We gather online as a whole community every week to catch up, meet new friends, sit under God's Word, pray, and discuss some big questions.
In Semester 1, 2020 we meet Tuesday 5pm–6:30pm (via Zoom).
Bible Study
EU law meets each week in small group bible studies. These are an opportunity to open up God's Word together and have Bible-centred discussions on a range of topics.
