Postgrad Day at AnCon is still happening: next week and online. While it's sad to not get away from Sydney and spend the day in Katoomba, getting to Postgrad Day has never been easier. 

Join us for a long lunch next Wednesday, 11:30–2, as Dr Mark Stephen's from CPX unpacks the place of faith in our cultural moment, and how that shapes the way we share our faith in the university. 

Each year EU Postgrads and Staff take a day off campus to attend the Wednesday of Annual Conference. It's our yearly retreat to develop as Christians within our vocation and to gather with other postgrads and staff from across the university.

Faith in a Secular Age: How and Why we Proclaim the Gospel at University

Our topic this year is the particular cultural moment we find oursevles in – our secular age where belief is implausible. Is there any role for faith in this moment? And for believers working or researching in an institution often seen to be at the vanguard of secularism, how do we witness to the hope we have in Jesus Christ? Postgrad+Staff Day at AnCon in 2021 will give you both principles and practices for sharing your faith and navigating the social pressures of the university.

Our Speakers:

Our first speaker this year is Dr Mark Stephens, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Christianity. He has a PhD in Ancient History from Macquarie University and a Masters in Divinity from the Australian College of Theology. Mark's most recent book, The End of Thinking, was recently published in the Re:CONSIDERING series.
